Stéphanie Petit is a ceramic artist who creates utilitarian and sculptural objects in sandstone. She uses different techniques and processes to shape her pieces: pinched, plate, coil and lathe. She is interested in raw materials and textures.

Touch is an integral part of his work. A piece must appeal as much to the touch as to the sight. This is what led her to work with chamotte sandstone. His creative process starts with drawing. His sources of inspiration are eclectic: the work of materials such as wood and concrete, brutalist architecture, nature, Berber art and primitive ceramics.

Stéphanie works most of the time with unique pieces or in small series and fires her pieces at 1280° in an electric oven.
