Anne de la Forge, émailleur d’art

In her troglodytic workshop, Anne de la Forge creates unique pieces by vitrifying goldsmith's enamels - coloured crystal powders - at high temperatures, in successive layers on copper. Each stage reveals an intimate dialogue between metal, glass and fire.
Traditionally used on goldsmith's and silversmith's pieces, she combines this ancestral know-how with a contemporary approach by freeing the material on large surfaces. She creates unique, made-to-measure interior designs for private individuals or specifiers (decorators, designers, architects, companies, etc.), and collaborates with other crafts.

Listed by UNESCO as part of France's Intangible Cultural Heritage for the skills of metal enamellers, she passes on her passion through discovery workshops open to all, children and adults alike, with no pre-requisites as to level.
