Saint Louis left his mark on the city...
Senlis, cradle of the Capetian kings, whose castle was a royal residence until the early 16th century.
In the heart of its park, the Saint-Maurice priory was erected by Saint Louis in 1262, in order to house the illustrious relics of Saint-Maurice.
It was also under his reign that the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral was enlarged, in which one can contemplate splendid stained glass windows retracing the very particular life of this extraordinary king.
