Around 993, Queen Adelaide founded this building to thank God for the election of her husband Hugues Capet and to house the relics of a 6th century Auvergne hermit: Saint Frambault. On the occasion of the Capetian millennium, the chapel is equipped with stained glass windows designed by the painter MirÒ and made by the master glassmaker Charles Marcq from Reims. In 1973, on the advice of André Malraux, the Hungarian pianist Georges Cziffra bought the chapel, which was then transformed into a garage, although it was already classified as a historical monument! After a major excavation campaign, restoration begins under the direction of the architect of the Historic Monuments. The Cziffra foundation was then created with the aim of completely restoring the building, opening it up to a large public, welcoming and promoting young musicians and artists, a work that his wife Soleilka perpetuated with the same passion.
