23 November

On 23 November, from 2pm to 6pm, ALMA is organising its third Salon des publications d'histoires locales (local history publications fair), bringing together local history associations (more than fifteen), heritage players (PNR, Aquilon, etc.) and writers inspired by our history.
You will be able to talk to the participants, consult and - if you wish - buy their works.
The public will be welcomed at 2pm with a coffee or fruit juice.

At 2.30 p.m., a round table entitled "Eugenics, Lebensborn... from HISTORY to THE NOVEL" will bring together authors who have been inspired by these subjects: after a short introduction by ALMA on these little-known aspects of the Second World War, they will present their novels, talk about the necessary preparatory work, their motivations... in short, everything that led them to imagine a story closely or remotely linked to these aspects of Nazism.

This exhibition gives you an idea of the richness of our heritage, the diversity of approaches and the work of local history associations: we share a love of our towns and villages, a desire to learn more about their history, and the ambition to share it with you and help protect our heritage!

We look forward to seeing many of you at this event, which we hope to organise every two years. The first Lamorlaye Local History Publications Fair was held in March 2019, the second in April 2022, once the COVID crisis has passed. And this year in November, a time more conducive to reading and also to gifts to be made or to be made to each other.
