Contemporary Bibliophily: Treasures from the Cabinet of Books" exhibition at the Château de Chantilly

The Cabinet des Livres reveals a little-known aspect of its collections and explores the origins and trends of contemporary bibliophily. Innovative engraving processes, photographic illustration, books by contemporary artists... the Duc d'Aumale was open to modern books. Since the 19th century, bibliophilic companies have paid tribute to him by depositing their books in Chantilly. Artists such as Camille Corot and Edouard Manet, but also Jean Lurçat, André Masson, Edouard Pignon, Hervé Di Rosa and many others are present in the bibliophilic collections, and they do not only revisit classic authors.
