16 December 2024

From 30 November to 31 March

The spahis are coming to Chantilly, to the rooms of the living museum of the horse, to help you discover a part of the history of these intrepid horsemen. The exhibition will cover the period from 1914 to 1941, highlighting the creation of the Moroccan spahis on the basis of the Moroccan auxiliary squadrons, right up to the daring charge of Umbrega in Eritrea against the Italians, the first ground success of the Free French against Axis troops.
Through a selection of historical objects from the collections of the Valence Spahis Museum - uniforms, weapons, harness and equipment - come and relive the saga of these horsemen, burnous in the wind and sabres in the air, and let yourself be carried away by their rides and the epic breath of their adventures in the service of France.

Exhibition from 30 November 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Venue: Living Horse Museum
Price: Included in the 1-day ticket.
