Until 31 August 2025

From 05 July to 31 August

The Chaalis estate opens its doors to adventure lovers with a unique falconry show and treasure hunt.

Falconry show - "La Grande aventure de Chaalis" (The Great Adventure of Chaalis)
For 25 minutes, the history of Chaalis is told, from the founding of the abbey by Louis VI to Nélie Jacquemart-André's bequest to the Institut de France. At the heart of the ruins, transformed for the occasion into a veritable stage, birds of prey (buzzards, eagles, vultures and owls) embody the chapters of Chaalis' amazing history.
At the end of the show, backstage at the falconry awaits you!
Wednesday to Sunday, 11am and 3pm

Treasure hunt - "The Treasure of Jupiter
Legend has it that in the clouds of Olympus, Jupiter, king of the gods, entrusted his son Hercules with a treasure. To protect it, he entrusted his golden eagle to watch over him. This treasure has been passed down through the ages, secretly handed down to Hercules' descendants.
Centuries later, King Francis I appointed Hippolyte d'Este abbot of Chaalis. He was no ordinary abbot: prince of Ferrara, cardinal and, above all, a descendant of Hercules!
It was he who hid the treasure at Chaalis, under the watchful eye of Jupiter's eagle, invisible but ever present.
Today, a sign has appeared in the sky: the eagle has returned. The time has come to set off in search of Jupiter's treasure. Follow the golden feathers left by the eagle and solve the riddles in the booklet to find it! Every day, non-stop, from 10 am to 6 pm.
