24 August

While the Chantraine marshes are popular with fishermen and walkers during the day, it's less common to discover them after dark. The whole family can enjoy a sensory experience in a hushed atmosphere. Annie, a nature guide, suggests a walk along the ponds that begins at dusk and continues by starlight to discover some of the animals that are active at night. Keep a low profile, and you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a bat, spot a fox in the dark, hear an owl hooting or a frog singing. Get to know them and discover their incredible ability to adapt to life at night. This outing will also be an opportunity to discover how light pollution disturbs flora and fauna.

Reservations and payment must be made in advance with the Creil Sud Oise Tourist Office.
