Feydeau's "Chat en poche" at the Jeanne d'Arc cinema in Senlis

Les Tréteaux de Saint Rieul present a Vaudeville in three acts by Georges Feydeau, directed by Caroline Godard and Virginie Bourdon, at the Jeanne d'Arc cinema. For the 27th year, Les Tréteaux de Saint Rieul will be performing at the Jeanne d'Arc cinema on 27, 28 and 29 March at 8.30pm and on Sunday 30 March at 4.30pm.

This year we have the pleasure of bringing you "Chat en poche" by Georges Feydeau, directed by Caroline Godard and Virginie Bourdon.
"Pacarel has made his fortune in sugar. He wanted to stage an opera composed by his own daughter and brought in a famous tenor from the Bordeaux opera house. Then a young man from Bordeaux arrived, but not the one Pacarel had hoped for: he was the son of his friend Duffausset, who had come to Paris to study law. Pacarel mistook him for the tenor in question and got him to sign a contract.
This misunderstanding throws the household into a series of situations that are as complicated as they are delirious...
Young Duffausset falls in love with Pacarel's wife Marthe, believing her to be Amandine, the wife of his friend Landerneau. As for Julie, Pacarel's daughter, she falls in love with the so-called tenor, rejecting the husband chosen by her father."
