Did you know that you can go canoeing in the south of the Oise?
And yes, it's possible, thanks to the volunteer members of the Montataire Canoe-Kayak Club! Push your limits in the rapids of the Thérain or enjoy a bucolic stroll in a green setting... to your own rhythm!
You can hire canoes or kayaks for a half-day or a full day. You will be fitted out in Montataire, then Club members will take you by mini-bus to one of the departure points: Cires-lès-Mello for the half-day trip (7 km) or Mouy for the full-day trip (14 km).
Along the way, you can admire old wash-houses, pass under small wooden or stone bridges and walk past old mills and factories such as the Saint-Épin dye works.
Let yourself be carried along by the river and enjoy the freshness and beauty of the banks of the Thérain!
At the end of your journey, you'll be back at the club.
Good to know: hire is by reservation only!
As the club members are all volunteers, the rental days depend on their availability (weekdays or weekends). Thank you for your understanding!
This activity is suitable for children aged 8 and over. For minors, parental authorisation is required. To take part in this activity, you must be able to swim at least 25 metres.
