Make an appointment in this garden and come and discover this historic area of the city at the crossroads of the Escalade rampart and the Bellevue rampart. The landscaped part has even (re)become an 18th century garden!
A little history:
The bastion of the Porte de Meaux was added to the town's fortifications in the 16th century. In 1544, the course of the Nonette was diverted to serve as a means of defence, bathing at the foot of the fortifications and the bastion. The archery company, whose shooting ranges you can admire, was founded in 1433 and established there in 1619.
