The Coteau de la Garenne is a semi-natural area of 1.5 hectares classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" and managed by the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels des Hauts-de-France. Located in the upper part of Creil, it can be reached via rue Jean Moulin (Quartier Rouher) or on foot from the Oise valley and the town centre via the "Côte à Cri-cri". Once pastureland, the limestone grasslands have gradually been reforested and are now home to a rare and endangered flora as well as a large and varied fauna: butterflies, crickets, lizards, birds and bats.
