Near the Halatte forest, hidden among the fields, the castle of Raray is worth a visit. After discovering the pretty village, you will be attracted by this castle and its hunting alley. A jewel of classical architecture from the 17th and 18th centuries, it was the setting for Jean Cocteau's film "Beauty and the Beast". From the Middle Ages to the Second Empire, the Sires of Raray increased the prestige of the seigneury and were close to great historical figures such as Henri IV and Marie de Médicis, Louis XIII and Napoleon. The estate now includes tree houses, a restaurant, a seminar room and a golf course.
